Runaway Planet is based out of Little Rock, but was good enough to stop in Springfield for a show at The Bar Next Door. I stopped in just in time to listen to their last set, and it was outstanding! These guys fall into the newgrass brand of bluegrass, playing lively tunes and really feeling the music. The whole bar was packed, and everyone was dancing, drinking, and having a good ol' time. Was it the music, the bar, or just my presence? Maybe it was just because it was Laura's birthday! Listen to these samples off of their latest CD, released in 2004 titles "No Part of Nothin`".
